Biography
Morion Burtis
Sol’us Mo
(Morion D. Burtis – Artist, Musician, Producer)
Born in Brownsville, Tennessee on Christmas Day, Morion D. Burtis—now known as Sol’us Mo—has spent a lifetime mastering the language of music. Raised in a Pentecostal church by a musically rich family, he began on drums at age 7 and later expanded to bass, guitar, and keyboard, all self-taught by ear.
As the original bassist for the gospel quartet The Burtis Sisters, formed by his mother and aunts, Morion became known for his emotional depth and spiritual connection to music. Over the years, he contributed to countless gospel ensembles throughout Illinois and Indiana, later venturing into secular sounds with groups like Junkyard Dags and The Showstoppers.
Now signed to Touch Music Group and rebranded as Sol’us Mo, his solo work fuses gospel, funk, and soul into a unique musical expression rooted in both faith and fire. With decades of experience and a fresh creative vision, Sol’us Mo is poised to deliver music that moves, heals, and inspires.
